1.Who is the Alphablocks Reading Programme made by?

The Alphablocks Reading Programme is published by the leading UK preschool publisher, Immediate Media Company. The editorial team, led by former head teacher Steph Cooper, has worked closely with the creator of Alphablocks Joe Elliot, to create a comprehensive step-by-step approach to learning phonics and reading.

2. Is the Alphablocks Reading Programme right for my child?

The Alphablocks Reading Programme supports the Early Years Curriculum and is suitable for young children just starting Reception as it starts with the very first steps in pack 1. Packs 2 and 3 progress to cover the first five stages of phonics so a learner has built a solid foundation for reading by the end of the programme. You can progress at your child's pace to match their needs.

All the gifts within the packs have been risk assessed and independently tested to all EU testing requirements.

All of the products and gifts are suitable for children aged three and over and specific warning and safety information is provided on the packaging of each gift.

3. Can I buy the Alphablocks magazines separately?

The Reading Programme is only available as a set, as it’s designed to be worked through as a complete learning programme. Younger readers can work through at their own pace, and we’ve found that many children who have already taken their first steps in phonics may still find the initial stages useful for building confidence and reviewing what they have already learned.

4. I didn't learn about phonics at school or how to read in the same way as it is taught now – will I be able to teach my child?

The Reading Programme is designed to help your child learn to read from their first encounter with letters to a confident foundation in reading. The activities have been created so that they are fun and easy to follow, but should you need further advice, you can find more support and information about phonics, and listen to all the letter sounds, here: http://www.alphablocks.tv

5. My child has already completed most of the Alphablocks magazines – is the Alphablocks Reading Programme different?

The Alphablocks Reading Programme is not a continuation of the magazine – some of the content has been published previously in Alphablocks Magazine, but there is also new, specially created content for each phonics step.

It has been created as a separate programme that starts with the first steps in phonics and progresses to cover the first five stages of phonics so a learner will have built a solid foundation for reading by the end of it.

6. Can I buy back issues of Alphablocks Magazine?

Unfortunately there is not currently a back issues service.

7. When will I receive my deliveries?

Once your order is complete, we will post your complete Alphablocks Reading Programme by standard post (delivery: 3-4 working days).

8. Who do you ship to?

The Alphablocks Reading Programme is currently available for worldwide deliveries, with certain exceptions. Please see our site for the list of countries we deliver to when placing your order.

9. Can I get a refund?

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you have a right to refund within 28 days of purchase.

If your product is faulty or damaged, or you are unhappy for any reason, please contact us so that we can help you.

Please find below an extract from section 6 of our terms and conditions

6.2 To obtain a refund, you will need to:

  1. Email us at arp@alphablocksmagazine.com, with full details (and images, if appropriate) of why you would like a refund. Please supply your contact details so we can contact you also.
  2. Please also return the product, plus a copy of your order form, to Alphablocks Reading Programme, Immediate Media Co., Vineyard House, 44 Brook Green, London W6 7BT.
  3. We can cover the cost of the return upon request.

6.3 If you return the Product to us because you consider the Product to be faulty, mis-described, or you are unhappy with it, we will examine the product. The product must be in the same condition as when you received it. We will notify you of your refund via email within a reasonable period of time. If we are not able to provide a refund, we will tell you why.
We will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible, and in any case, within 14 days of the day we confirmed to you via email that you were entitled to a refund. We will refund the price of a defective Product in full and any delivery charges and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the Product to us.
